Newham Folk: A conference celebrating Maud Karpeles’ and DC Daking’s contribution to the English folk-dance revival of the 1910s and 1920s.

10.30am-4pm, 30 May 2020, St Bart’s Centre, 292b Barking Road, East Ham, London E6 3BA.

The cost of attending the conference is just £5 including refreshments and lunch, with book-sale tables costing an additional £5 each or £1 for a shared table. If you would like to attend and are able to register your interest and receive the full information electronically, there are two options. If you have an up-to-date browser, you can book via Eventbrite – this will state the tickets are free but you can pay later – if not, email info@folkinmotion.co.uk Otherwise send an SAE to Folk in Motion, 8 Kildare Road, London E16 4AD.

If we have to postpone because of corona virus, we will still go ahead once it’s safe, and organise it as a standalone event if the Heritage Month isn’t rescheduled. Hopefully that will be clear by the beginning of May at the latest.
